As projected by multiple media agencies and exit poll surveys, the NDA alliance is absolutely sweeping the Bihar election as the counting got underway earlier today. This saffron wave has clear smitten Bihar and the trends are overwhelmingly clear.

As of the moment that we are typing, this article NDA is leading in 169 out of the total 243 Assembly constituencies in Bihar, and this is going to be resigning victory.

But the discussion is about the internal policies of this NDA alliance, which is storming to power. This is where the most interesting thing is happening as BJP and JDU are going head to head with regard to majority.

While BJP is leading in 75 seats, JDU is very closely leading in 74 seats. The alliance parties are themselves taking part in a running race when it comes to the most number of seats.

Naturally, the equilibrium of the alliance is such that the party with the most number of seats will have the opportunity to have its candidate as the CM. So by that equation, if BJP managers to win the most number of seats, they could push to have their candidate as the CM.

But on the other hand, we have the seasoned campaigner in the form of Nitish Kumar, who is of great importance to the NDA alliance, not just in Bihar, but also at the centre. This JDU chief will do everything in his power to retain the CM position.

If Nitish Kumar can complete this lobbying, he will become the CM of Bihar for a record breaking 10th time. He would go down in history as the most nomination as the CM of state. But we have to patiently wait and see if this would actually be the case or whether there would be a twist in the end.
