Back in 1998, it took a revolutionary Chandrababu and his unrelenting efforts to bring Microsoft to the then united Andhra Pradesh. Babu was successful in bringing Microsoft India campus to Hyderabad after consistent consultations with the team and multiple offerings.
The establishment of the Microsoft Office in Hyderabad famously kickstarted the IT revolution in the city and paved the way for globalisation and adequate urban development. This is the reason why Chandrababu is still so highly ranked in the twin Telugu states.
Now that Hyderabad chapter is done and dusted, Babu has moved onto the Andhra Pradesh chapter. In this context, the chief minister has now opened up about the enhancement of the growth index of Vizag through the recently announced to TCS campus.
The Andhra Pradesh government allocated lands for the TCS campus in Vizag and once this campus is established, it is expected to create a whole new IT ecosystem in the city.
Nara Lokesh commented on this matter, as he said, TCS for Vizag will have the same impact as what Microsoft had on Hyderabad back in 1998. He commented that Microsoft started a new IT revolution in Hyderabad prior to the 2000s and TCS will do something similar for Vizag starting very soon.
Lokesh further added that Vizag is being seen as the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh and the city will witness more such investments and employment opportunities in the future as well.
