Andhra Pradesh politics seems to be heading for a major twist. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu is all set to visit Delhi, and insiders say this trip could be more than just a routine political tour. Reports suggest that Naidu’s main aim is to hold a high-level meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the topic might just be YS Jagan.
The buzz in political circles is that Babu wants to discuss the controversial liquor scam that allegedly took place during Jagan’s term. The new coalition government has already launched a deep probe into the scandal, and several close aides of Jagan have been arrested in recent weeks. Now, all eyes are on the bigger fish.
With the investigation pointing fingers at Jagan as the key beneficiary of the liquor money, the heat is building. Sources claim that Chandrababu’s Delhi visit is part of a larger strategy, to secure green signal from Delhi for legal action against the former CM.
Interestingly, Babu has also cautioned his cabinet colleagues to stay quiet about the liquor scam in public, possibly to keep things under control before a big move is made.
If the speculation is true, this could be the beginning of serious legal trouble for Jagan. And Babu seems to be clearing the path, one step at a time.
