Generally, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to hold a major public event, he prefers either Gujarat or Uttar Pradesh. This is primarily because both states are under NDA rule and have a strong support base.
But for a change, Modi chose Andhra Pradesh this time for the mass-centric Yogandhra program. This event aimed to promote the healthy development of yoga culture in India and was held today on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
The mega event took place in Vizag and witnessed a massive crowd of over five lakh people, making it a tremendous success. More importantly, the way this grand event was conducted without a single untoward incident has become a topic of discussion.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu showed complete dedication toward this event, monitoring preparations closely for the past 30 days. He also sent Nara Lokesh to personally supervise the arrangements, and the IT Minister was present on site from day one.
It seemed as though Modi placed complete trust in Chandrababu to execute the event with precision, and the Chief Minister certainly rose to the challenge. Given Chandrababu’s reputation as a capable administrator, organizing a large scale event like this may not have been too difficult. However, the key factor was facilitating the Prime Minister’s presence and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the big day, and that was executed perfectly.
