The two chief ministers of the Telugu states, Chandrababu and Revanth Reddy sat down for a meeting in Delhi to discuss the ongoing Krishna waters distribution discrepancies. The two chief minister had an amicable dialogue on this matter, and we are already witnessing substantial action happening in Andhra Pradesh.
Irrigation minister Nimmala Rama Naidu briefed the media on this matter as he confirmed that the meeting between Babu and Revanth was held amicably, and it will lead to progressive resolutions.
The irrigation minister said the meeting between the two chief ministers was held on a friendly note and several agreements were principally discussed this year.
It is confirmed that the governments have decided to approve the setting up of telemeters at the canals leading to reservoirs. This will help in even distribution of the reservoir water later. Both Babu and Revanth mutually agreed for the resurrection of this Srisailam project.
While the Krishna waters board will be set up in Amaravati, the Godavari waters board will be set up in Hyderabad. However, there are a few technical points that are to be discussed between the two governments, and the final decision will be taken correspondingly.
With chief minister, Chandrababu holding an amicable meeting with his former disciple Revanth, the relevant activities have already started in Andhra Pradesh for effective resolutions.
