It was a proud moment for Andhra Pradesh and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as the national spotlight in Delhi turned entirely toward him. During the prestigious “Bharat AI Shakti” event held in the national capital, the Andhra Pradesh government officially signed a major agreement with Google and its affiliate company Raiden to establish India’s first AI hub in Visakhapatnam.
What stood out more than the deal itself was the overwhelming praise Chandrababu received from the Union Ministers present at the event. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw showered appreciation on the Andhra leader, acknowledging his foresight, innovation, and futuristic thinking.
Nirmala Sitharaman lauded Chandrababu’s vision, calling it a clear example of his long-term thinking and leadership. She said this agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter in Andhra Pradesh’s history, adding that no other state enjoys such a strong coastal base and infrastructure advantages. She noted that Chandrababu’s strategic planning in utilizing these strengths to attract investments is what truly sets him apart.
Echoing similar sentiments, Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed an interesting detail about how the collaboration began. “Minister Nara Lokesh met me six months ago and discussed this very project. Many states bring us proposals, but Andhra Pradesh made it happen with remarkable speed. This initiative will not only shape the future of Andhra Pradesh but also contribute to the vision of a developed India,” he said.
Nara Lokesh, who played a key role in bringing the project to life, said this partnership will become a milestone for the state. He stated that the new AI center will create opportunities, jobs, and innovation while marking a historic day for Andhra Pradesh in the world of technology.
From being a state once struggling to attract major investments, Andhra Pradesh has now become a preferred destination for global tech giants. Chandrababu’s leadership has once again placed the state at the forefront of India’s digital transformation. The event in Delhi clearly turned into a stage of recognition for the AP Chief Minister, a true king-size elevation for Babu on the national platform.
