Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is set to travel to the nation’s political capital, Delhi, later today. This visit holds significant political importance for the Andhra Pradesh landscape.
Chandrababu is scheduled to fly to Delhi this evening, where he will take part in the high-priority Niti Aayog Commission meeting and discuss several pressing financial matters.
One of the key objectives of this visit is to raise the issue of the Polavaram Project at the Central level and seek adequate funding for the mega infrastructure initiative.
Apart from the Niti Aayog meeting, Chandrababu is also expected to hold multiple one-on-one meetings with several top Union Cabinet Ministers. He is likely to meet with the Defence, Home, and possibly Finance Ministers during his stay in Delhi.
Media reports also suggest that Chandrababu may share his inputs on national security, especially in light of recent developments. A key highlight of this trip could be a closed-door meeting with Union Home Minister and BJP senior leader Amit Shah.
This visit comes just days after Babu’s son, Nara Lokesh, held a long meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
However, this will be a relatively short trip for Chandrababu, as he is scheduled to return to Andhra Pradesh on the 24th. Essentially, this is a two-day political tour to the nation’s capital.
