One of the principal complaints against the previous YCP government in Andhra Pradesh was its excessive loan borrowing culture. The gross financial mismanagement resulted in the state finances, getting absolutely battered.
However, after the onset of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh and urgency of veteran chief Minister Chandrababu, the state is witnessing substantial progress fiscally and economically.
As per the latest statistics from the government of Andhra Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh has registered the 2nd highest growth rate in the country for 2024–25, with 8.21% growth. In less than a year of forming the the new government, the policies have moved Andhra Pradesh from a state of distress to a state of growth and renewed confidence.
This progress has been driven by a broad-based revival across agriculture, manufacturing, and services, alongside significant investments in IT, electronics, automobiles, and renewable energy.
The list is topped by Tamil Nadu with over 9% growth rate, but the very fact that Andhra Pradesh went from a struggling state to one of the Best performing states in terms of growth rate shows the effective leadership of Chandrababu.
