YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been seeking official recognition as the Leader of the Opposition, finally returned to Andhra Pradesh after the Montha Cyclone passed. His delayed return has drawn mixed reactions from the public and political circles alike.

Initially, Jagan was expected to arrive in the state a couple of days ago, and the YSR Congress Party even released a formal statement about his visit. However, the plan was postponed due to the temporary closure of the Gannavaram airport caused by the cyclone.

While party members cited safety and weather concerns, some citizens felt that as a key political leader, Jagan could have chosen to travel by road to review the situation on the ground.

Eventually, Jagan arrived at Gannavaram once flight services resumed, choosing to come back after conditions stabilized.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was actively monitoring cyclone relief measures, coordinating with officials and ministers in real time. The contrast between the Chief Minister’s field activity and Jagan’s delayed return has become a talking point across political and public discussions.
