Tuesday turned out to be a heart-wrenching day for Jana Sena Chief and AP Deputy CM, Pawan Kalyan. While it marked the birthday of his elder son, he was met with shocking news early in the morning—his younger son was injured in a fire accident, and that too far away in Singapore. It’s hard to imagine how Pawan coped with such emotionally conflicting news.

The fire accident occurred Tuesday morning, but due to travel and formalities, Pawan Kalyan could only see his injured son in person by Wednesday morning. Fortunately, his son was shifted from the ICU to a general ward on Wednesday. According to initial reports, he will remain under medical supervision in the hospital for the next three days.

On Tuesday night, Pawan flew to Singapore along with his brother, Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Vadina Surekha. On Wednesday morning, they reached the hospital and visited Pawan’s younger son, Mark Shankar, who is undergoing treatment. Known for his emotional restraint, Pawan reportedly found some comfort upon seeing his son recovering. After spending some time by his bedside, he consulted the doctors about his condition.

It is known that Shankar sustained injuries to his hands and legs due to the fire. Though these injuries are expected to heal, Pawan is particularly concerned about the smoke that entered Shankar’s lungs, which could pose further complications.

Since Tuesday morning, doctors had kept Shankar under intensive care. Only on Wednesday morning was he moved to a regular room. The medical team is currently evaluating how much smoke entered his lungs and how best to remove it. They are considering various treatment options and precautions for his long-term health. A bronchoscopy has already been performed, and doctors are waiting for the report, which is expected to arrive by this afternoon. Based on the results, the next course of action will be decided.
