As we had reported a few days ago, the NDA alliance presented the Immigration and foreigners bill in the Lok Sabha and this approved by the majority of the members. Incidentally, this bill was subsequently carried to President Droupadi Murmu for assent.
Coming to the topic, now, the latest media reports are suggesting that the President has officially approved the immigration and foreigners bill that was presented in front of her. The approval was principally given on April 4, and this essentially means that this bill has become a mandatory law now.
Reportedly the gazette notification has also been issued in this regard and the law will be officially enforced henceforth.
