Borugadda Anil is one of the most controversial personalities in AP politics. During Jagan’s time as chief minister, Anil used to issue death threats to certain opposition leaders. He even made the most abusive comments about Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan’s families.
Subsequently, he was jailed after the Telugu Desam and Janasena-BJP government came to power. However, the latest updates suggest that Anil is now at large, and his whereabouts are unknown.
To recount the story, Anil was jailed last year under multiple charges. However, he secured bail on February 15 on the grounds that he needed to care for his sick mother, who required medical attention. After appealing to the court, stating that he needed to take his mother to the Apollo hospital in Chennai and providing a doctor’s prescription, his bail was extended until March 11.
However, it has now been revealed that the certificate Anil provided was fake. The police immediately began searching for him and attempted to contact him, but as is often the case with criminals, Anil remains unreachable, and his phone is switched off. The police are now puzzled about his whereabouts, and no one knows if he will return to jail on March 11, as per the bail conditions.
The issue here is that the concerned jail authorities did not inform the police station (where the case was originally filed) or the government authorities. Even the media was unaware of his release. The entire process was carried out very secretly.
Now, hundreds of questions remain about the actions and whereabouts of this criminal. There are doubts about the manner in which he was released from jail. This adds to earlier speculations that Anil might have been receiving preferential treatment in jail due to monetary gains.
