Actor and politician Posani Krishna Murali was always a motormouth and had the habit of making provocative comments against Jagan’s political opponents. However, he crossed the line during Jagan’s tenure as the chief minister when he made vulgar comments about Pawan Kalyan’s family and also crossed communal lines.
As a result, Posani is now facing legal consequences for his earlier actions. He was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police and investigated at the Obulapuram police station yesterday. Shortly after, his remand report was submitted to the court by the investigating officers.
This report clearly states that Posani admitted to abusing politicians and making derogatory communal remarks to please his then YCP bosses.
The remand report further mentions that Posani was assigned the task of abusing the family members—especially women—of opposition leaders at that time. This was all part of a malicious narrative devised to please the YCP bosses.
Subsequently, Posani was sentenced to 14 days of remand by the magistrate, and he will have to abide by the same, as a non-bailable case has been lodged against him. With as many as 14 cases filed against him, it will be a while before Posani returns to the public eye and sees daylight.
