After a lull of nearly five years, former TDP MP Galla Jayadev has sprung into action again.
Hailing from the reputed Galla family, Jayadev established himself as a reliable industrialist to reckon with and eventually forayed into politics after being elected as an MP from Guntur. However, with the YCP being voted to power in 2019, he was shunted out of the state, along with his industries, seemingly due to political rivalry.
With the TDP coalition government securing people’s mandate, Jayadev is appearing on the political framework in the state.
Recently, he accompanied Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, minister Nara Lokesh and Union Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu to the World Economic Summit held at Davos.
Days after the Davos tour, Jayadev’s Amararaja Infra secured a major contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) — construction of a 300 MW solar power project at Ramagiri in Sri Satya Sai district. The SECI project, spread in 1,100 acres, would be completed in a year.
Though the cost of the project is not known, the Amararaja Infra would complete works relating to Balance of Systes, 220KV pooling sub-station, 220KV power transmitter and other basic infra in a record time, before handing it over to SECI.
