Back when Jagan was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he made it a habit to completely disregard Pawan Kalyan by calling him “Dattaputrudu” (foster son). The clear implication from Jagan was to portray Pawan Kalyan as a fabricated character, allegedly propped up to support Chandrababu.
Many felt that Jagan, being the Chief Minister, using such derogatory language against Pawan was inappropriate. Now, irony has taken a new turn as Jagan’s own sister, Sharmila, has labeled him “Dattaputrudu.”
Responding to Botsa Satyanarayana’s recent comment that Sharmila is merely sitting at home and tweeting about Jagan, with no reason for them to react, Sharmila had a strong rebuttal.
“Botsa’s comment completely took me by surprise. I am appalled by their reluctance to fulfill the responsibility entrusted to them by the people of Andhra Pradesh. In the five years that Jagan was CM, he went against the aspirations of his father, YSR, and became a ‘Dattaputrudu’ for BJP and Modi. This is why he was restricted to just 11 seats and lost the status of Opposition Leader,” Sharmila stated.
The irony here is that the very term “Dattaputrudu”—which Jagan used so frequently to demean Pawan Kalyan—is now being used against him, and that too by his own sister, Sharmila. This highlights the consequences one faces when crossing moral boundaries in an attempt to tarnish another’s reputation.
