Sunny Deol is currently enjoying the success of his latest film Jaat. Gopichand Malineni is the film’s director. The film attracted a controversy as the Christian community raised objections on a particular scene from the film. The film’s production house, Mythri Movie Makers, finally took a note of the same and confirmed that they are removing the scene

Taking to social media a while ago, Mythri Movie Makers stated, “There has been a backlash for a specific scene in the film. The scene has been removed from the film with immediate effect. Our intention was not to hurt any religious sentiments. We deeply regret it and have taken a quick action of deleting the scene from the film. We sincerely apologize to everyone whose beliefs have been hurt.”

The controversial scene in question is: Randeep stands inside a church, beneath a crucifix above the sacred pulpit, while members of the congregation pray. The scene depicts hooliganism and intimidation inside the church. It hurt the sentiments of the Christian community.

Jaat was released on April 10th 2025 and opened to a good response from everyone. The team recently announced a sequel as well.
