Anaswara Rajan is one of the young and emerging heroines from South cinema. She predominantly works in Malayalam cinema and is popular across the nation, thanks to the emergence of OTT. However, the young heroine is facing allegations from director Deepu Karunakaran regarding her refusal to participate in ‘Mr & Mrs Bachelor’ promotions.
The director initially alleged that Anaswara refused to participate in the film’s promotions. She has now given a befitting counter for the same. Anaswara posted a note on Instagram in which she mentioned that the only online promotional interview available for the film so far is the one she has given.
“I had already given an interview before the scheduled release date as part of the film’s promotions. The only online promotional interview available for this film is the one I did,” she stated.
Anaswara also mentioned that she did her part by sharing the posters and trailers but was unaware of the change in the movie’s release date. She also went to an extent to tell that she will not be silent if the director continues to make statements that would defame her.
Anaswara filed a complaint against director Deepu Karunakaran with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA).
‘Mr & Mrs Bachelor’ features Indrajith Sukumaran and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles.
