Tollywood actor Sudheer Babu’s ambitious quest to score a decent box office hit while not giving up on his never ending thirst for out-of-the-box scripts and novel genres is of no avail as moviegoers continue rejecting his films outright without paying much heed to his hard work and dedication. His latest film Jatadhara is also end as another disappointing attempt due to the poor reception at the box office after its release last Friday.
Jatadhara created decent buzz prior to its release as the pre-release teasers and trailers generated significant hype among audience. Unfortunately, the film failed to secure even below average verdict and received awful reviews on the opening day. The supernatural thriller is likely to handover another forgettable result for Sudheer Babu and continue his long wait to end the flop streak.
Despite scoring a string of flops, Sudheer Babu’s talent and efforts continue to receive widespread appreciation. But, he will need to deliver one solid hit to revive his low lying career. He should first concentrate on selecting proper scripts that cut across different sections of audience.
Up next, Sudheer Babu will team up with director Rahul Ravindran for one of the biggest projects in his career. Rahul Ravindran’s latest film The Girlfriend, which stars Rashmika and Deekshith Shetty in the lead roles, opened to positive reports and secured decent word of mouth. Though the first weekend numbers of The Girlfriend are just lukewarm, the strong word amount and impressive reviews are expected to translate into box office numbers in the long run.
Rahul Ravindran has developed a knack for narrating unique stories with conviction. So, he would be planning to come up with another strong subject and make use of Sudheer to a full extent. Sudheer Babu would hope that Rahul will turn a saviour for his career.
