This year’s birthday is going to be very special for Jr NTR. It marks 25 years since he started his film career, and now, he’s finally making his Bollywood debut with War 2. What makes it even more exciting is that it’s a massive pan-India film, and fans are thrilled to see him stepping into the Hindi film industry in such a big way. Though films like RRR were dubbed and did well in Hindi, fans always wanted to see NTR prove himself with a straight Hindi film and that’s finally happening.
NTR has not just carried his grandfather’s name, but also the responsibility that comes with it. He has faced ups and downs in his journey. At one point, a series of flops put his career at risk. But he bounced back by being careful in script selection and from Temper to Devara, he has not seen a single failure. Among his generation, no one has had such a consistent hit streak. While others may have had hits, they also faced average results or disasters. NTR, on the other hand, has maintained a strong, steady track record in recent years.
Now, a lot depends on how big a success War 2 turns out to be. Even though actors like Prabhas have done direct Hindi films like Adipurush, they didn’t meet expectations. But War 2 is in a different league with massive budget, rich content, stylish action, and solid production. If the film connects with audiences, NTR’s image in the North will skyrocket.
Yash Raj Films is reportedly planning to give him a strong position in their spy universe. If that goes well, and NTR continues to do films in both Telugu and Hindi, he’ll achieve something truly rare for a South Indian star, a strong presence in both industries.
