Kannappa is steadily gaining a buzz in the film industry. After the pre-release event held yesterday, the buzz surrounding the film increased. Manchu Vishnu is actively taking part in the movie’s promotions. Meanwhile, one question that is revolving in everyone’s minds is why Rajinikanth was not a part of this dream ‘Manchu Project.’

Superstar Rajinikanth enjoys a great bond with the Manchu family. Mohan Babu and Rajinikanth are friends for many years. Even Vishnu openly shared his bonding with Rajinikanth calling him uncle. Meanwhile, it is known to everyone that Kannappa is billed to be a dream project of the Manchu family, and they ensured to have the best cast and crew in the movie.

However, Rajinikanth is not a part o the film and the media recently asked Vishnu as to why that happened. Interestingly, Vishnu shared that they wanted to rope in Rajinikanth and penned a character for him, in combination with Mohan Babu’s role. But, the film’s writers felt that the track is moving away from the core’s theme and would spoil the flow.

Hence, the team decided to remove the character and went ahead. But, the film’s cast has Mukesh Rushi, Mohanlal, Sharath Kumar, Mohan Babu, Siva Balaji, Brahmanandam, Sapthagiri, Kaushal Manda, Madhoo, and others. Prabhas is also doing a key role in the movie.

Kannappa is hitting the screens on June 27th.
