One of the most talented and reputed film makers in South Indian cinema, Lokesh Kanagaraj is closely anticipating his upcoming film Coolie while it prepares for release on August 14. While the film is preparing for release in a month from now, Lokesh has started to promote the same.
In his latest interaction with a national media house, Lokesh revealed a few interesting bits of information about this film and also has directorial career in general.
The talented filmmaker was asked about the ongoing speculation about him charging in the range of ₹50 crore per film and he had an interesting reaction.
“You might ask me about my ₹50 crore remuneration but it stems from the fact that my last film Leo did very well at the box office and collected in the range of ₹600 crore. So it is only natural that my remuneration also got doubled. This is a demand and supply field and I am working hard for every penny.” Lokesh confidently said.
About the upcoming promotional material of this film, Lokesh revealed that there will be no teaser for the film and only the main trailer will be released on August 2. This is a bold call to skip the teaser and go directly for the trailer.
Lokesh then revealed interesting bit of information as he said “Rajinikanth Sir watched the film studio and his reaction was very heartening for me. After watching the film, he got up and hugged me tightly and said it reminded him of Thalapathy days. It was very warm and emotional for me to see Rajinikanth Sir, so impressed with the Final Cut.”
