Whenever a film hits theaters, fans and movie lovers excitedly check out the reviews right after the premieres and FDFS shows. While a section of audiences decides whether or not to watch a movie based on the positive or negative reviews, filmmakers across the country often blame negative reviews for “killing” a film’s prospects at the box office.

And here’s a filmmaker who urged audiences to watch his movie only if the reviews are good. We are talking about Praveen Kandregula, the director of Anupama Parameswaran’s forthcoming female-centric drama, Paradha. The young director previously made the critically acclaimed Cinema Bandi and Samantha’s maiden production, Subham.

Speaking at the Paradha theatrical trailer launch event on Saturday evening, Praveen Kandregula said that the movie’s team had shot the film in difficult locales like Leh-Ladakh and went on to urge movie lovers to buy the ticket and watch Paradha only in theaters without waiting for its OTT release.

Even though he has asked the audience to watch Paradha after checking out the reviews, he was quick to add that the film will surely impress everyone with its hard-hitting content. He also added that Paradha is not an art house film and that it’s a “proper commercial film.”

Paradha’s finely crafted trailer has created a decent buzz for the film, which is slated to hit screens on August 22nd. Darshana Rajendran, Sangeetha, and Gautham Menon played key roles in the movie. Sreenivasulu P, Vijay Donkada, and Sridhar Makkuva produced the movie.
