Among the much-delayed projects in Telugu at the moment, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara stands at the top. The project consistently makes headlines for all the wrong reasons. Despite the film unit not giving any updates, the developments of other projects are bringing negative attention to Vishwambhara. With the hints of Ghaati’s release date, Vishwambhara is back in the news. Incidentally, the two films are produced by the same production house, UV Creations.

Anushka’s Ghaati is gearing up for a July 11 release, and the official announcement is set to be released tomorrow. Initially slated for April, the film was delayed due to post-production setbacks. Now, with its release nearing, the spotlight shifts to the bigger elephant in the room—Vishwambhara.

Beyond the teaser, which received mixed reactions, and the song “Rama Rama,” the promotional campaign for Vishwambhara has gone cold. Earlier speculations of a July 24 release have faded, and the crowded August slate will make it challenging for the film to secure a new release date.

July is the most logical option for Vishwambhara, but with Ghaati now occupying the mid-July slot, it’s unlikely both films from the same banner will release so close together. This strengthens the possibility of Vishwambhara moving to September, or even later.

With OG and Akhanda scheduled for a release in September, team Vishwambhara will have to chalk out a different plan altogether. Considering all the scenarios, the possible release of Vishwambhara in 2025 remains highly doubtful for the fans.

Starring Anushka in the lead role, Ghaati is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara is directed by Vashistha Mallidi.
