Bollywood has been losing originality over the last few years while attempting to copy the success formula of other industry films. Even after multiple setbacks, the filmmakers in B-Town are failing to realise this fact and are coming up with various films, which look like copies of other successful films. People on social media opined the same after watching the trailer of Tiger Shroff’s new outing, Baaghi 4.

The theatrical trailer of this action thriller was released recently, and after watching it, one would feel that the makers tried copying Animal’s template but failed miserably. Animal’s violence and gore were backed with solid content and writing, which seems to be missing in the case of Baaghi 4.

Baaghi 4 follows Ronny (Tiger Shroff), a man haunted by visions of his deceased girlfriend Alisha (Harnaaz Sandhu). He is introduced as a lover greater than Romeo or Majnu, but his tale is drenched in blood and tragedy. The film showcases his ruthless path of vengeance as he hunts down those responsible for Alisha’s death. Baaghi features Sonam Bajwa as the other female lead. It is directed by A. Harsha and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is slated for release on September 5.

The action sequences and Punjabi background score remind us of Animal. Some of the actors, including Saurabh Sachdeva and Upendra Limaye, who acted in Animal, also played key roles in this movie. However, there is extreme violence and gore, which might keep family audiences away from the film. The fight sequence towards the end of the trailer has become meme material on social media, with many netizens trolling it.

After watching the trailer, people on the internet requested Bollywood filmmakers to stay away from copying other film templates and focus on original scripts, which will appeal to a wider section of the audience.
