The glaring age gap between male actors and heroines has often sparked debates on social media platforms before the release of films. For long, Some of the Tollywood senior heroes have been facing criticism for their on-screen pairing with heroines who are much younger to them in age. Seasoned actors like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Ravi Teja are often targeted for the age disparity with their female counterparts in commercial entertainers.

Once again the debate is back ahead of the release of second single from Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film Akhanda 2 in which he is paired with happening beauty Samyuktha Menon. The makers of this upcoming film released a poster featuring Balakrishna alongside Samyuktha in a glamorous avatar. This has once again ignited a debate on age difference between both the actors. While Balakrishna is aged 65 years, Samyuktha is 30 years old.

Some netizens and even fans of actors are finding it unpalatable and calling it as mis-casting because most of these young heroines are in the age of their daughters. They want heroes to put an end to this tradition. This is not the first time such heated discussions happened on social media. Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja and Venkatesh also faced a similar criticism in the past.

As such odd pairings are not showing impact on the revenues as long as common audience outside social media accept the content, filmmakers and actors continue to act with heroines despite the age gap.

This is not the first time that Balakrishna came under fire for romancing heroines much younger than him. However, it is heard that the song has come out very well and there won’t be any vulgarity in it to trigger any further debate. SS Thaman is said to have come up with a foot tapping song which appeals to masses very well. The song will be out on Tuesday evening.
