Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja is proving what a true cult film looks like. When it first released, the movie didn’t do well at the box office. But over time, thanks to TV and OTT platforms, it found a huge fan base. Now, its re-release is making waves like a brand-new blockbuster.

Advance bookings started a week early, and tickets were sold out within hours. Some trade experts say the film could collect over ₹3 crore on day one, something even new films struggle to achieve. Fans are calling Mahesh Babu the true king of the box office.

Due to high demand, special premiere shows are being planned in Hyderabad on May 29, a day before the official re-release. At RTC X Roads, ticket prices are expected to be between ₹500 and ₹2000, a rare sight for a re-release.

If this craze continues, Khaleja could earn over ₹10 crore in this re-release run. That would make it one of the biggest re-release hits ever, and a shining example of how a cult movie wins hearts over time — not just on day one.
