Thammudu has been postponed from its original July 4th release date. With Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, landing on the same date, makers decided to push Thammudu to July 25, according to reliable sources.

Thammudu is a commercial action-adventure drama that stands out with its tribal backdrop and extensive forest locations. Nithiin plays the lead role, supported by Laya as his sister and Sapthami Gowda of Kantara fame as the female lead.

Interestingly, the publicity strategy for Thammudu is a bit unconventional this time. Instead of the usual teaser or songs, the makers are prioritizing the trailer release, expected within a week. The team is focusing on world-building to create a solid theatrical pull. A motion poster introducing key characters, titled Mood of Thammudu, has already set the tone.

For Nithiin, the film comes at a critical juncture. Since the pandemic, he has struggled at the box office, with most of his recent projects failing to make an impact. Thammudu could be the comeback vehicle he desperately needs.

The film is directed by Venu Sriram, known for hits like MCA with Nani and Vakeel Saab starring Pawan Kalyan. It is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, with music composed by ‘Kantara’ fame Ajaneesh Loknath.
