The first song from Thalapathy Vijay’s presumably last film, Jana Nayagan, was released today. Titled “Thalapathy Kacheri”, this song is designed to be a tribute to Thalapathy’s career and a one-last celebration track for his millions of fans. Staying true to its title, Thalapathy Kacheri is a full Thalapathy show, filled with his swag and energy.
Music director Anirudh, who has given many chartbusters to Vijay over the last decade, has delivered yet another banger for the actor. The song is an upbeat dance number that serves as a tribute to Vijay’s career, his persona, and his new political journey. The beats make you tap your feet instantly. Arivu’s lyrics match Anirudh’s energetic music and also deliver a social message at the same time. Vijay mesmerizes us with his magical vocals once again, and he is well complemented by Anirudh and Arivu.
The visuals of the song are filled with grandeur. There is a festive celebration vibe all over. Watching Vijay perform energetic steps choreographed by Sekhar VJ and Sudhan is bliss for fans. In the second half of the track, we also get to see Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju shaking a leg with Vijay.
In the end, we hear Anirudh’s voice saying, “Anna, one last dance.” Then, we get to see a slide that reads, “Watch it in theatres.” This last one-minute bit might be a full-on dance feast from Vijay on Anirudh’s fast musical beats, which fans can experience only in theatres.
Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is slated for release during Pongal 2026. Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, and others play key roles in this movie. KVN Productions has bankrolled the project.
