Telangana sometimes allows temporary increases in movie ticket prices for big releases. This helps producers cover costs during the first days when audience turnout is high.

The Telangana government has now approved a ticket price hike for the film OG, produced by DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainments. The film will release on September 25, 2025, and the official order was issued on September 19, 2025.

According to the order, a 9 PM Special show can be held on September 24, with tickets priced at ₹800 including GST. From September 25 to October 4, 2025, for the first 10 days, ticket prices will be temporarily increased: single-screen theatres can charge ₹277 per ticket, up from ₹177 (an increase of ₹100), and multiplexes can charge ₹445 per ticket, up from ₹295 (an increase of ₹150). After October 4, prices will return to the standard rates of ₹177 for single screens and ₹295 for multiplexes.

The request for the hike came from DVV Danayya. This temporary hike is meant to help producers recover initial costs. District collectors and licensing authorities will ensure the rules are followed.

Given the hype and anticipation around OG, along with the advantage of the ticket price hike, massive openings are expected.
