Filmmaker Krish believes that a director must never stop learning. He compares it to how an athlete trains every day, saying that his mind needs constant nourishment from history, science, psychology, geography, and philosophy. This curiosity, he feels, helps him tell stories that are richer and more meaningful.
Looking back at his earlier work, Krish sees a common theme of transformation. His first three films Gamyam, Vedam, and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum together form a trilogy on society, each exploring different sides of human life: the path of an individual, the struggles of society as a whole, and the conflicts within a person.
Now he is moving into a new chapter with his film Ghaati, an action entertainer inspired by mountains, which he sees as a symbol of the struggles people carry. The story touches on the real and pressing issue of ganja trafficking. Krish praises actress Anushka Shetty for her dedication, saying she gave her full effort both physically and emotionally, even while performing challenging stunts.
Krish also reflects on his filmmaking style, admitting that while it gives his movies a unique identity, it can sometimes feel like baggage. Still, he is clear that he writes stories for his own excitement rather than just for audience expectations. With Ghaati, he promises a “first-day film” that thrills fans while staying true to his voice as a storyteller.
