Kiran Abbavaram, one of the emerging actors in Telugu cinema, is making a sincere effort to revive his career after struggling for several films with box office results. He recently had a revival with KA but needs to be more prudent now that he has had a string of flops. Kiran is now looking to line up a few more interesting projects and is moving forward cautiously. At the moment, he is working on K-Ramp, directed by Jains Nani, which is supposed to release during Diwali this year. Kiran also expects to have Chennai Love Story released next year.
In the midst of these ongoing projects, reports suggest that Kiran Abbavaram may be working with director Srikanth Addala in the near future. Interestingly enough, in the industry grapevine, Kiran Abbavaram has given the first nod for the project after listening to Addala’s story. Addala is currently fine-tuning the story, and it looks like a decision will be made soon.
Srikanth Addala, who started his career with the successful Kotha Bangaru Lokam and later directed Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, has faced a tough phase in recent years. His last release , Pedda Kapu, in 2023, failed to make an impact, leaving him searching for a solid comeback.
To add to the intrigue, Rana Daggubati is apparently connected to the project as a co-producer if all falls into place. Rana’s involvement would enable the film to have a broader reach and better market opportunity. More importantly, we are told the film will serve as a Godavari village backdrop-an area where both Abbavaram and Addala have shined in the past. The greenery setting has been Addala’s niche since his first film, while Abbavaram has also formed his identity around that space.
If it all happens, it could be significant for the two of them. For Abbavaram, it would help him stake his claim as one of the young leads, while for Addala, it could mean a bit of redemption. An official announcement will be made soon.
