Adivi Sesh announced a film, Dacoit, with Shruthi Haasan, but later, she was replaced with Mrunal Thakur. When this happened, there were many speculations that both Sesh and Shruthi had a fallout, resulting in Shruthi quitting the film. However, in a recent interview, Sesh issued a clarification over the same.
Talking about Shruthi Haasan’s walkout from the film, Sesh condemned the rumors in circulation as holding no truth. Sesh said that Shruti did not leave the project because of any differences or disputes between them. He added that Shruthi left Dacoit because she could not align with Sesh’s working style.
Sesh elaborated that Shruti Haasan was busy with Coolie back then and he was also taking his own time to shoot the film. Shruti was not feeling comfortable with such a working style and chose not to be a part of it. Sesh revealed this and clarified that there is no controversy in this process.
Additionally, he hailed Mrunal Thakur for agreeing to do the film. He narrated the story to Mrunal at 10AM on a particular day and she reverted with a positive response by 2PM on the same day. Billed to be a gripping action drama, the film is being made in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously.
Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film is produced by Annapurna Studios. The team wrapped up 60 percent of the film’s shoot currently.
