Telangana folk songs have a huge fan base among audiences. Many folk songs from the region enjoy hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. Taking folk composition to mainstream cinema, the makers of the upcoming film, “Raju Weds Rambai,” released a new song from the film, titled “Rambai Nee Meeda Naku”.
This is a catchy love track with soulful Telangana folk lyrics, penned by Mittapalli Surender. Popular singer Anurag Kulakarni took the song to the next level with his soothing vocals. He sang the song along with Jayasri Pallem. Suresh Bobbili’s music resonates perfectly with the Telangana youth. From the beginning to the end, the song will transport its audience to a rural, romantic space. Going by the initial reception, it is expected that the song will become another instant hit, with Anurag’s vocals being an added advantage.
Right at the beginning of the song, the makers noted that the song is dedicated to all auto and tractor song lovers. As mentioned, this song has all the qualities to become another anthem for rural folks, like “Anita O Anita” or “Ranu Bombai”. On the whole, Rambai Nee Meeda Naku appears to be another hit track from the Telangana folk space.
Backed by ETV Win, Raju Weds Rambai is slated for worldwide release on November 21. The film is written and directed by Saailu Kaampati. Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi bankrolled the project. Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati are theatrically releasing the film under BV Works and VN Entertainments.
