This Diwali, four films are set to release in the same week: Mithra Mandali, Telusu Kada, K Ramp, and Dude (dubbed). While these are relatively small-scale films, the clash has already created some buzz. Mithra Mandali premiered on October 15 with paid shows but did not get the expected word of mouth from audiences.

At the Mithra Mandali pre-release event on Monday, producer Bunny Vas spoke about negative campaigns targeting films. He said that while multiple films are releasing this Diwali and the industry should grow collectively, some people try to spread hate to benefit their own films.

He stressed that audience choice is what matters and that competing in the industry should be based on fairness. Bunny Vas wished all the Diwali films success and encouraged positivity even for those who troll or criticize films online. Although he did not mention any names, many felt his comments were aimed at other Diwali release, K Ramp.

K Ramp had its pre-release event on Thursday in Hyderabad. Producer Rajesh Danda praised the film and thanked the cast and crew. Toward the end of his speech, he made a notable remark: he said that gimmicks like thigh slaps, tears, or sympathy cards do not determine a film’s success. What matters is good content, and if the film is strong, audiences will come. He also extended his best wishes to all the Diwali releases.

While Rajesh Danda did not directly mention Bunny Vas or Mithra Mandali, many believe his comments were a subtle response to the earlier remarks and the lukewarm reception of Mithra Mandali. Fans are now watching closely to see how K Ramp performs at the box office amid the Diwali competition.

K Ramp is set to release on October 18. The film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Yukti Thareja, and is directed by debutant Jains Nani. It is produced by Rajesh Danda under Hasya Movies and Shiva Bommak under Ruudransh Celluloid, with music by Chaitan Bharadwaj.
