Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab is going to have a grand release during Sankranthi next year. The film was supposed to hit the screens this December, but it was postponed to next year. However, the film might face troubles in Tamil Nadu with two other biggies lined up for a release. It is common that the distributors give priority to native Tamil superstars.

Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan is going to have a grand release on the 9th of January, while Siva Karthikeyan’s Parashakti is hitting the screens on January 14th. Meanwhile, the release date of Raja Saab has not been confirmed yet. The producer has announced January 9 as the date, but it remains to be seen how the final placement will be during the Sankranthi season.

Already, there are multiple films that are scheduled for Sankranthi in Telugu. Even though Prabhas’ stardom might overcome all these here, it might be tough to get proper number of theatres for Raja Saab in Tamil Nadu because of those two releases.

Prabhas is a pan-India star who also enjoys a craze in Tamil. But, the fact is that Vijay and the emerging superstar Siva Karthikeyan are ready with their respective projects. So, team Raja Saab must surely do some magic to get more theatres and the word of mouth also matters.

Usually, family dramas score well during Sankranthi but Raja Saab is a horror film and we are unsure if this genre gets a wide reception during the festival.
