Thalapathy Vijay announced his retirement from movies and Jana Nayagan will be his final film as of today. Just like Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, Vijay also floated a new political party and firmly made it clear that he will not take a plunge into cinema again.
While Chiru and Pawan did not stick to their initial plans, they later came back to cinema. As the fans hope the same to repeat in Vijay’s case, Mamitha Baiju added more hope to their desires.
Mamitha Baiju, the Malayalam young heroine who shot to fame with Premalu shared the screen space with Vijay in Jana Nayagan. During the film’s last day shoot, she reportedly asked Vijay if it was his last film but he gave a hypothetical answer which did not conclude the speculations of his retirement.
Reportedly, Vijay is unsure if Jana Nayagan is his last film and he wanted to take a decision only after the Tamil Nadu general assembly elections which will happen in the next two years. Vijay wants to dedicate his time fully for his party strengthening as well as working with the people on ground to understand the problems faced by them.
Usually, film stars who witnessed the top of their careers and enjoy a big market can not easily quit films despite having political commitments. We have to see what will happen in Vijay’s case in the next few years.
Directed by H Vinoth, Vijay’s last film Jana Nayagan is believed to be the remake of Telugu film Bhagvanth Kesari.
