Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s upcoming rural entertainer Peddi, which is set in the backdrop of village politics and multiple sports, has been creating unprecedented buzz from the day it was announced because of the genre and director Buchi Babu’s immense confidence on the script. Moreover, the unique promotional campaign implemented by the team so far has augmented the buzz further.
For the promo of the first single Chikiri Chikiri, Buchi Babu and his team once again came up with another impressive strategy to generate solid hype before the full song gets unveiled. The makers unveiled a video featuring an organic conversation between Buchi Babu and maestro AR Rahman in the latter’s studio on how the collaboration initially materialised. Buchi goes down the memory lane and recollects how he fell in love with Rahman’s magic in Bombay
The interesting discussion between the duo leads us to the refreshing promo of Chikiri Chikiri in which Ram Charan’s graceful dance moves stand out. The promo teases music lovers with Rahman’s trademark melodious tune and also gives a sneak peek into the beautiful landscapes of rural ambience.
This is the first time that AR Rahman has shot a promotional video for his film. He is returning to Telugu cinema after more than decade and there are massive expectations on the album. The first single has lyrics by Balaji with vocals given by Mohit Chauhan.
Peddi has Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar in a prominent role and Jahnvi Kapoor as the female lead. The film is slated for release on March 26th. Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are jointly bankrolling the film.
