Deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan returned to the big screens with OG which released on September 25, and is running successfully in theatres. To commemorate the success of the film, the makers held a success event in Hyderabad.

Speaking at this event, Kalyan touched on a wide array of topics, including the toxic fan war culture in Tollywood. He advised all hero fandoms to be more supportive of each other rather than abuse and attack other heroes.

“This is my genuine advice to every fandom including my own fans. Please stop this fan war culture. You all know how hard we work day and night to do films. We don’t even get to see our family members while we are at work. After all the hard work, we release our films and they’re being subjected to hate on social media owing to fan wars.”

Kalyan further added that the toxic culture is amplifying the ugliness in the society. “Be it any hero. Jr NTR, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Nani or anyone, I enjoy all of their works. So I request all fans to be more respectful.

It was further conveyed that films used to celebrate 100 and 150 days back in the day but has come down to just a matter of days due to this toxic culture where there’s a lot of oppression.

Kalyan certainly had a strong point to make, and this is something that he had been advocating repeatedly to curb social media hate.
