Pawan Kalyan’s OG is censored today, and the news is bringing joy to the fans as there won’t be any hurdles further. The makers will begin to launch an aggressive promotional campaign now to take the film to the audiences fullest. The censor board awarded the film a U/A certificate and suggested minor cuts only.
OG is a gangster drama filled with a lot of action sequences and violence. The team has cleverly opted for minor cuts to get the U/A certificate. If the team gets an A certificate, it would have distanced the film from the families, which has just happened with Coolie in recent times. Coolie was not made available to the teens and families despite the film not having too much violence, but they refused to make some cuts.
Now, the OG team will be more confident in presenting their movie to the viewers. The U/A certificate for the film means that a lot of teenagers will now flock to the theatres during the Dusshera festival holidays. There are chances for the film to have repeated viewers, based on how entertaining the content is.
Altogether, it is a smart move to acquire a U/A certificate for the film. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, the film is hitting the screens on October 25th.
