The trailer for Odela 2, the supernatural thriller starring Tamannaah Bhatia, was launched today to an overwhelming response. Directed by Ashok Teja and produced by D Madhu, with Sampath Nandi overseeing the direction and writing, the trailer launch event took place in Mumbai. During the media interaction, the team shared several intriguing insights about the film.

Tamannaah shared her feelings on her journey with the film, saying, “Odela 2 holds a special place in my heart. Roles like these are rare for actors, and I feel proud and happy that Sampath Nandi thought of incorporating Shiva Shakti as a symbol of female representation. We’ve often seen Naga Sadhus and Aghoris representing men, but women haven’t had similar portrayals. I’m grateful to Sampath Nandi for casting me in this role.”

She elaborated on the essence of the character, “We wanted to create a feeling of divinity that wasn’t distant or otherworldly but something that felt real and accessible. I wasn’t wearing any makeup for the role because we wanted to make the character feel like someone you or I could relate to. The essence is that divinity exists within us all, and we’re constantly searching for it. The purpose of this film, in its commercial format, is to encourage viewers to tap into their own devotion and find that divinity within themselves. Ultimately, this film’s message is that good always triumphs over evil.”

Sampath Nandi stated, “Odela was originally made for OTT. If you plan on watching Odela 2, there’s no need to watch the first part. Despite filming in the intense summer heat, Tamannaah chose not to wear footwear for the role. She even gave up non-vegetarian food to fully embody her character. This is going to be an extraordinary theatrical experience.”

The movie Odela 2 is up for release on the 17th of this month.
