Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor is familiar to audiences across the country not just because she is the daughter of yesteryear actress Sridevi but also due to her glamorous appearance and also for the fact that she is equally balancing both Hindi and regional language movies despite hectic competition. After featuring in NTR’s Devara, she is once again gearing up mesmerize in the upcoming pan-India film Peddi opposite Ram Charan.

Meanwhile, her candid statement about the privileges of being a star kid in a recent interview has drawn the attention of many. She openly admitted that nobody is interested in listening to the struggles of star kids because they come from a privileged background. Surprisingly, she has no qualms about this perception in the industry which often highlights the difficulties of those who have no filmy background. She further confessed that privileged kids should be grateful to whatever they have got.

Jahnvi, however, stated that she doesn’t like the insider-outsider divide within division but agreed to the fact that outsiders face numerous challenges unlike star kids. She also added that people like her will never truly understand the struggles of those without any connections in film industry and when nepo kids complain about their problems, it will be perceived as insensitive.

Jahnvi’s forthrightness in acknowledging that the struggles faced by those without any support from film industry are quite different from star kids like her should be appreciated because no nepo kid of the current era has ever admitted about the privileges they enjoy while pursuing a filmy career.

Jahnvi will be next seen in Ram Charan’s rural entertainer Peddi. Recently, her film Homebound was selected as the Indian entry for the Best International Feature Film for the 98th Academy Awards.
