Chiranjeevi, the undisputed Megastar of Telugu cinema for decades, has always led by example. But now, in an interesting turn, he’s choosing to follow someone else’s lead — his close friend, Akkineni Nagarjuna.

Senior heroes are redefining their careers by exploring unconventional roles. Kamal Haasan did it with Kalki 2898 AD, Nagarjuna impressed with Kuberaa, and Venkatesh continues to shine with multi-starrers. At the Kuberaa success meet held in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi made it clear that he is ready to walk the same path.

“Nagarjuna is an inspiration to me, not just for his fitness and charm but also for the bold choices he makes. His latest role in Kuberaa proves that age is no barrier when it comes to reinvention,” Chiru said, praising Nag’s powerful performance as Deepak in the film.

Interestingly, Chiranjeevi shared that before the film’s release, he had asked Nagarjuna what made him accept such a different role. Nag’s answer was simple. He wanted to reinvent himself, break boundaries, and show a new side of himself to the audience. That struck a chord with Chiranjeevi.

Fans who have admired Chiru’s mass commercial entertainers will now see a new chapter unfold. The Megastar is preparing to explore roles beyond typical heroism. He wants to take up characters that challenge him as an actor and create a deeper connection with audiences.

With Viswambhara, a pan-India project, and a mass entertainer with director Anil Ravipudi already lined up, Chiranjeevi’s calendar is packed. But his new approach towards bold, experimental characters promises an exciting phase ahead. If Nagarjuna’s Kuberaa is any indication, Chiranjeevi following that path could bring a refreshing change to Telugu cinema.
