With just a day to go for the release of Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Nagarjuna in a key role, the promotional campaign is gaining momentum. In a unique move, Naga Chaitanya joined the promotions by hosting a special conversation with his father Nagarjuna and director Sekhar Kammula, a candid chat that drew attention not just for its content but also for Chay’s heartfelt confession.

Having worked with Sekhar Kammula on Love Story, Naga Chaitanya reflected on how the director’s outlook on life had a deep personal impact on him. “Before I did Love Story, like any other youngster, I was obsessed with brands. But my journey with Sekhar sir made me realise how people live so simply, how they find happiness without materialism. That changed me completely. I’ve cut down a lot on my expenses since then,” shared Chay.

It’s not just in life, but professionally too that Kammula seems to have influenced Chaitanya. “Working with him taught me the importance of workshops. Preparing before stepping onto sets helped me understand the character better, and that’s how Love Story became one of my finest performances till date,” he added.

Sekhar Kammula is known for his simplicity, both in filmmaking and in lifestyle. Despite being one of the most respected filmmakers in the Telugu industry, with the luxury of living lavishly, he still chooses to reside in the same Padmarao Nagar colony where he began his career. It’s no surprise that even someone like Naga Chaitanya, who comes from a star-studded background — got inspired by that grounded nature.

Coming to the film, Kuberaa is set for a theatrical release tomorrow. The social thriller features Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in a powerful role and promises to be yet another signature Kammula outing, rich in values and strong on emotions.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya is currently shooting for a high-budget mythological thriller helmed by Virupaksha director Karthik Dandu. That film is expected to hit the screens next year.
