Historically, speaking, Hollywood films have enjoyed a great patronage in the Indian market. Several iconic English films had pretty substantial runs at the Indian box office, including the Marvel superhero stuff and others.
But for a change, we now have a sports drama English film that has managed to grab the attention of not just Indian folk, but particularly Telugu audience.
The film in discussion here is F1, which has Hollywood star Brad Pitt in the lead role and is based on the F1 racing sport. This film had a pretty long run at the Indian box office and also in the Hyderabad city, where it generated substantial revenues.
And now, after the OTT debut of the film, it is continuing to grab the attention and there is a lot of discussion happening on the same in the Telugu social media circles.
In fact, the penetration of this film is so very deep that there are even edits using Telugu songs on the famous racing sequence and Brad Pitt solo shot in the film.
An English film based on F1 sport, which is anyway distant to the Telugu community, getting such a wide reach in the Telugu social media circle is not an easy task. But this Brad Pitt film is somehow making it happen in the most efficient way possible.
