Teja Sajja’s Mirai has been one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema this year. The film became Teja Sajja’s second 150-crore grosser after Hanuman. In North America, it collected $3 million, making him one of the few Telugu stars to achieve back-to-back $3M collections overseas, alongside Prabhas and NTR.
Now in its fourth week, Mirai’s theatrical run has slowed down due to new releases like They Call Him OG and Kantara Chapter 1 for Dussehra. Its streaming partner, Jio Hotstar, has officially announced the OTT release date.
On Saturday, it was confirmed that Mirai will stream on Jio Hotstar from October 10. The film will have a 28-day theatrical window for Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions. The Hindi version’s OTT release is not yet announced. In North India, the expected theatrical window for Hindi films is 56 days (8 weeks), as per multiplex agreements.
Mirai stars Teja Sajja, Manoj Manchu, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jayaram, and Jagapathi Babu. It is directed by Karthik Gattamneni, produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, with music by Gowra Hari.
