The shoot of Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Anil Ravipudi’s project, tentatively called Mega157, is currently underway in Kerala. Meanwhile, a few clippings of Chiranjeevi and lead actress Nayanthara from the shoot location were leaked on social media the other day, which went viral within no time. Reacting to the leaked videos, the film’s team issued an official press note yesterday, requesting people to refrain from capturing and sharing such content.
There has been a huge buzz for this film since its launch. Anil Ravipudi has once again garnered attention by regularly sharing shooting updates, accompanied by promotional videos. Sometimes, this heavy promotion might also become dangerous, as proved by this leaked content. Many people on social media apparently felt the leaked footage was also a promotional video.
In the press note, the team stated, “We have noticed that unauthorized videos and photos from the sets of Mega 157 are being recorded and circulated on social media. We consider this a serious breach of trust and a violation of intellectual property rights. Please note that any individual or platform found sharing, uploading, or circulating such leaked material will be subject to strict legal action under copyright infringement and anti-piracy laws. Mega 157 (#ChiruAnil) is a film we are crafting with great care and love, and we urge fans and media platforms to support us by waiting for official updates from the makers.”
With these leaks, the team remains extra concisous on sets to prevent any such instances. Mega 157 is slated for a Sankranthi 2026 release.
