Actor Manchu Manoj, who is currently promoting his comeback film Bhairavam, opened up about some of the key projects he missed out on, many of which went on to become major hits.
“There are quite a few films I let go,” Manoj revealed. “Racha was one of them. Sampath Nandi approached me first, but it didn’t work out. Eventually, my friend Ram Charan did it, and I’m happy for him.”
He went on to share that Arjun Reddy was offered to him in 2013, around the time he was working on Potugadu. “Sandeep Reddy Vanga narrated the story to me, but due to personal reasons, I couldn’t take it up. I regret missing the chance to work with such a talented director. It would have been nice if we had worked together,” he said.
Manoj also mentioned that he was considered for Deva Katta’s Autonagar Surya, which eventually starred Naga Chaitanya.
Now, after an eight-year gap, Manoj is making his return to the big screen with Bhairavam, releasing tomorrow. The film stars Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Nara Rohith as well in lead roles. Following Bhairavam, Manoj will be seen in a negative role in Mirai, scheduled for release on September 5. He also has a solo lead film titled Rakshak, which is set to hit the screens next year.
