Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula teamed up for the first time for the exciting film Kubera. The film was released last Friday and registered an amazing weekend at the box office. There were initial inhibitions about the first Monday, but the trade pundits confirm that the film passed the Monday test with flying colours. However, it is restricted to the Telugu market alone.

In line with the expectations and predictions, the movie did not have enough potential to rise in the Tamil market. As the film already showed signs of decline in Tamil, it continued further. The film drastically fell at the Tamil box office on the first Monday.

Dhanush factor is surprisingly not working in Tamil this time. Although we could credit that Sekhar Kammula is relatively less familiar to the Tamil audiences, the word of mouth of the movie is also not helping the film pick up.

As per the trade estimates, the worldwide gross on the fourth day is around 9 Cr rupees, with the total going to a little more than 80 Cr rupees. The hope is still there that the film enters a 100 Cr rupees club.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Jim Sarbh and others, the film is produced jointly by Puskar Ram Mohan Rao and Suniel Narang.
