Is Anirudh Ravichander, one of the star music composers in the country, losing his steam? Are his tunes becoming repetitive? Are people getting bored with his same style of music? His recent work suggests the same. In 2024 and 2025, Anirudh came up with multiple films like Indian 2, Devara, Vettaiyan, Vidaamuyarchi, Kingdom, Coolie and Madharassi.

Apart from Devara and Coolie, the music in none of the films from the above list managed to make an impact. Anirudh is known for elevating a subpar film with his electrifying songs and background score. Even in many failed films, Anirudh stood out with his chartbuster songs and powerful BGM tracks. But that doesn’t look like the case anymore.

Of late, fans feel that Anirudh’s music is becoming monotonous and repetitive. Most of his songs sound like rehash versions of tracks from his earlier films. The same is the case with the background score as well. People are kind of bored by these repetitive tunes and are urging Anirudh to avoid repeating the same patterns in every film.

Anirudh’s latest release, Madharaasi also ended up as a disappointment for his fans. The movie was average, which is one case. On the other hand, Anirudh also failed with his music by not delivering a single chartbuster song or a powerful background score. Thus, it seems like Anirudh should retrospect his work and start reinventing his music.
