Some Hollywood franchises never lose their craze no matter how many sequels are released. Spider Man, Avengers, Iron Man, and The Mummy are great examples. Even if there is not much change in the story, people still rush to the theatres. Filmmakers just add more action scenes, better visuals, and re-release them in 3D or IMAX formats to attract larger audiences.

Now, Jurassic World Rebirth is doing the same. It was released worldwide on July 4 and has already taken over the box office, including in India.

Within four days, it collected nearly 45 crore rupees in India according to trade reports. Even on Monday, which is usually a slow day, the film earned good numbers that other movies could not manage. Though collections dropped around 70 percent from Sunday, the film is still performing better than expected.

It even earned more than local releases like Kannappa and Thammudu. Surprisingly, in South India, Jurassic World Rebirth is doing better than Brad Pitt’s Formula One movie.

What is interesting is that the movie did not get many positive reviews. Many viewers felt it was just a repeat of the old Jurassic films. But still, audiences wanted to watch it once, and that curiosity helped boost collections.

So far, the film has earned around 322 million dollars worldwide, which is nearly 2765 crore rupees. In comparison, the F1 movie collected only 293 million dollars or about 2515 crore rupees. This shows how powerful the dinosaur craze still is with the public.

However, with Superman arriving this week, the Jurassic ride might slow down. Let us see how long the dinosaurs continue to dominate the screens.
